6 months until the WHO dictatorship

The World Health Assembly (WHA), the decision-making body of the WHO, will meet from 22-28 May 2022.

The meeting will discuss the US amendment to the International Health Regulations adopted in 2005.

The content of the proposed amendments was only made public on 12 April 2022,

Biden administration officials forwarded these sweeping amendments to the World Health Organization on January 18, 2022, without the public's knowledge, to strengthen the WHO's ability to unilaterally intervene in the affairs of nations that are merely suspected of having a "health emergency" that could affect other nations. The US amendments cross out a critical existing limitation in the regulation: 'WHO shall consult with and attempt to verify the State Party on whose territory the event is alleged to have occurred... "By deleting this and other clauses (see below), all the shackles are removed from the WHO Director-General, allowing him to declare a health emergency in any state at will.

The Director-General will be able to declare these health emergencies purely on the basis of his personal opinion or consideration if he considers that other nations are threatened by a potential or possible danger.

The amendments would empower the WHO to take important steps to work with other nations and other organisations around the world to address any nation's alleged health crisis, even against its expressed will. The right to declare a health emergency is a potential tool to shame, intimidate and subjugate nations. It can be used to induce other nations allied with the WHO or wishing to harm and control the accused nation to take excommunication and economic or financial action against the target nation.

There was little time for protest before the scheduled vote. As mentioned, the amendments are scheduled to take effect between 22-28 May 2022, and will almost certainly come into force.

Existing WHO rules allow for an 18-month grace period during which a nation can withdraw its 'yes' vote on the amendments, but the current proposed amendments would reduce this to six months. If the US-backed amendments are adopted, a majority of nations could change their individual votes and withdraw approval within the next six months. But that is a much more difficult option than stopping the whole process now.

On 26 January 2022, the same US Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva sent a one-page note to the WHO confirming that the amendments had been sent. It also included a short report prepared by the same Loyce Pace, HHS Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs.7 Most importantly, the memo listed all nations that support the US amendments. The size and power of the group guarantees that the amendments will be adopted if there is no significant external pressure.

Below is a list of the 20 nations, plus the European Union, that are listed by the US as supporting the amendments:

Albania, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Jamaica, Japan, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Peru, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America, Uruguay, European Union (EU) member states.

The EU includes the following 27 Western countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Sweden.

This brings the total number of countries supporting the amendments tabled by the United States to 47. They all supported giving the WHO the authority to declare a possible or potential health emergency or crisis within any country, over any nation's objections and refusal to cooperate. Again, these amendments will pass unless there is very strong opposition from citizens worldwide.
